Binghui Huangfu is an artist and theorist, and one of the world’s leading curators of
contemporary Asian art.

Currently she is the Deputy Director of the Shanghai Zendai Museum of Modern Art in China and the Senior Visiting Fellow at the University of NSW in Sydney; moreover, she is a researcher for the project Construction, Connection and Community: Measuring Asian Art's Contribution to Contemporary Culture at the Centre for Contemporary Art and Politics. She co-curated the Gwangju Biennale in 2006, was the Director of the Asia Australia Art Centre/Gallery 4A, and the Director/Curator of the Earl Lu Gallery, where she curated a number of major international exhibitions, accompanied by conferences and substantial catalogues. She was the keynote speaker of conferences like the Guangzhou Triennial conference at the Contemporary Asian Art Forum of Hong Kong or at the Asian Women's Art conference in Stockholm.


Binghui has published widely in art journals, and recently co-edited “China Phenomenon”, a special issue of the journal Artlink.
