kuo-wei lin (Taiwan)
Kuo-Wei Lin, born in 1982, lives and works in Berlin. He moved to Paris in 2000 and started his art education at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Art de Lyon in 2002. Later in 2005, he attended an exchange program with a BRFE scholarship at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig. In 2007 he received his Master of Art degree at Chelsea College of Art in London. Kuo-Wei Lin has exhibited his works at the Uferhallen, Berlin (2010); the Museum of Contemporary Art Taipei, MOCA, Taiwan (2009); the Museum of Japanese Art and Technology, Manggha, Cracow (2008); the Tate Britain, London (2007); the Goethe-Institut Lyon, France (2006).
Kuo-Wei
Lin endeavours to understand the odd in the ordinary and the insignificant
in the monumental, decoding and reconstructing the context. According
to him, understanding an environment begins with identifying the exceptional
and making possible a novel interaction with it.
